i just encountered this:

fatal: unable to access
'https://salsa.debian.org/Kazan-team/nmigen-type-annotations.git/':
The requested URL returned error: 503
Unable to fetch in submodule path 'nmigen-type-annotations'

the reason:

https://salsa.debian.org/

    Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to
maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered
while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at salsa.debian.org Port 443

an external dependency has crept in, which i wasn't aware of, which
therefore hasn't been added here:
https://git.libre-soc.org/

this emphasises why it is important that we not depend on external
resources for development of the project.

i'll remove it temporarily whilst it's down: now that i know the
project exists i've added it to git.libre-soc.org, jacob can you
re-add it after first doing a git push of nmigen-type-annotations to
git.libre-soc.org?

thx,

l.
