That's not about willingness. If you won't listen to Luke, please
listen to me (a fellow neurodivergent with some similar traits), to
Wikipedia. There's a reason this trait is called mental *rigidity*.
It's exactly the opposite of flexibility.

Higher stress, urgency, confrontation, make for higher rigidity. It's
almost like the trap was laid, and then the surroundings were rearranged
so as to prevent him from going right into the trap.

Try telling that to someone on a wheelchair. Or to someone whose eyes
don't work. Or any other person with a disability. Or tell a black
person or a woman that the discrimination they get is their problem, not
yours. That's how great a display of tolerance and accomodation and
inclusiveness that argument is.

That goes both ways, and it's self evident in your show of ignorance and
prejudice. that's why it's called a "double empathy" problem.

Listening and empathizing and accomodating may indeed ease the rigidity.
Threatening ("or else"), urging ("hurry!"), commanding ("you must do
this"), demeaning ("it's your problem") will do the opposite.

He has a medical diagnosis that enables non-ignorant non-prejudiced
people to understand that.

What's your excuse for your prejudice and absolutely unreasonable judgment?

That hardly makes up for the *several* weeks since the RfPs were field.
The feedback was weeks late.
