[Libre-soc-dev] Initial 3D MESA non-accelerated software-only driver is needed

Hello,

I am Vivek and I am interested in working on
https://bugs.libre-soc.org/show_bug.cgi?id=251
There is some discussion on the bug.

So currently I think we have few options:

1) Extend https://github.com/KhronosGroup/SPIRV-LLVM-Translator
    to support Vulkan dialect.

OR

2) Use Vulkan to NIR translator (I don't where is code for that) and then
translate NIR to LLVM (that we need to write)

Both seem decent amounts of work. I don't have any reason not to choose 1).
In Option 2) we are adding one more step i.e spirv->NIR that will impact
speed.

If we have more points to discuss we can talk online through some platform
on 7 Aug 2020 9 PM IST ?
