Note that this is capable of error handling, and, thanks to specifier classes,
this can be somewhat more flexible. And, well, SpecifierPredicate should be
split into SpecifierFF, SpecifierPR, SpecifierMask classes, with some possible
parent classes; it's dirty for now to have at least something to work with.
Once these are split, the code may take a real advantage of this, and introduce
better error messages and re-use the code in a proper way.
