niiice :)

xfce is still a "full desktop" that uses parts of gnome2 low-level
infrastructure so it maaay still interfere, and/or there may be somewhere in
xfce4 control panel.

only by using a 25-year-old window manager (fvwm2) and running it with
"startx" do i actually get full control over what i want, with no interference.
