hello Dr Robins, Dr Horlock et al,
I appreciate the frustratingly difficult situation we are all in, that
access to diagnosis and treatment is unavailable due to catastrophic
misdiagnosis and failure to triage by UHS.
I appreciate your reflections Dr Robins on diverting to St Peter's that the
symptoms would abate: unfortunately they worsened and didn't. I became
unable to speak again for over an hour, the "lizard-tongue" involuntary
action continued for around the same, as did involuntary
"cheek-puffing/blowing".
[as an aside: my memory recall of Wednesday is damaged. I only have a vague
recall of reporting the incident to the Care Quality Commission after they
REMINDED ME ON THURSDAY as I was reporting the exact same incident].
as things were worsening I tried using text-to-speech over the phone to get
clear to UHS Neurology that there were additional symptoms and that they
were occurring *right now*, it took 45 minutes of worsening and continuing
symptoms to result in an abusive response from a 3rd-unnamed-transfer
stating in a derogative patronising "how can we help", I typed honestly
(literal autistic response) "I don't know" and they said "then I'm hanging
up the phone then".
I tried desperately in shock, distress, and alarm, to type the shortest
word I could think of: "help", on the text-to-speech app as fast as I
could, played the word twice, yet they hung up in between.
I have an audio recording of the call.
they made me feel humiliated and abused. again.
during these incidents I am CLEARLY SEVERELY DISABLED, unable to speak, so
why am I being humiliated, patronised and abused, and get the impression
these people are ENJOYING the experience of wondering what FAKE SYMPTOMS I
will come up with next?
PALS: I require an investigation and an apology. I require the names and
departments of the people I spoke to. I was UNABLE to REQUEST that
information at the time as I was UNABLE TO SPEAK and was focussing on
staying alive and as calm as I could.
please acknowledge this official complaint.
l.
p.s. I haven't had time to report that A&E, visit 46 I believe, whilst at
least non-abusive still did nothing, and at least the Security Guard around
8:30pm listened when I said "Autism Act 2009. ask questions please", he
stopped ORDERING me to "get up and walk" after collapsing on the floor 50
YARDS outside of UHS main entrance, after discharge yet again as "medically
fit" and being unable to stand (a repeat of Oct26 and Nov03, officers) he
actually listened and asked "are you ABLE to stand?" and with safe two-way
communication established I was able to say "no mate". very weirdly he
silently disappeared without informing me, as I was literally crawling
along the pavement to get out of UHS and unable to see him. respitory
difficulties started on the 17 bus and did not stop the entire 50 minute
duration to Woolston, continuing until I got into Woolston Coop around
10:30 / 10:45 pm. audio recordings available.
