yesterday worked with ghostmansd on pysvpy4dis.

today code-morphing ISACaller to separate source and dest
index stepping into an iterator (for pack/unpack).  turns out
that the index and even end-conditions of an iterator may be
modified *as it is being used* which is needed for Vertical-First
Mode as well as servicing interrupts.
