done, running hello_world.bin and mmu.bin.  now, interestingly, it should also be possible to play the same trick with the FPGA builds, meaning that running on an ECP5 or any arty should be practical, from the existing microwatt infrastructure.

tomorrow however will be attempting to run linux under verilator.  horribly slowly.
