thanks to tim's help i've got QSPI operational and no longer
running at "ridiculous treacle speed" (safe-mode, 100 bytes/sec)
am currently doing memcpy of QSPI to DDR3, and whilst it
dumps out ok a jump to the start does not work.  intriguing.
have to investigate further, using icarus verilog this time.
