Yes, as Veera mentioned luke has done it already.

That is the reason I am suggesting here to replace VPR with nextpnr in the Symbiflow.

It is accepted by the Symbiflow also.

AFAIK, Luke, has tested libresoc with ECP5 board using nextpnr and prjtrellis
toolchain.
