VSX may have the same flaw.
when debugging any guest under any program using KVM
(qemu, the one we're writing, any other)
any single step over FP or VSX insn
results in guest corruption of regfiles.

unless KVM's usage API requires the *caller* (host) to
preserve FP (and VSX) regs and FPSCR?
still does not make sense that non-single-step kvm works perfectly.
