exploration used to be the province of large national space agencies. But  
over the last 15 years, there has been a cosmic sea-change in the way that  
Space exploration has been planned and resourced.Open-source technologies -  
hardware, software, data - have started to become critical to many  
projects. For example, the recent Curiosity drone flight on Mars. Did you  
know that it was built using the Linux operating system and off-the-shelf  
components?To learn more, join me this Thursday evening for an online  
celebration of all things open-source in Space. It’s hosted by the British  
Computer Society Open-Source Special Group ( BCS-OSG ).The event is FREE
