arrrgggh okaaay a *lot* of investigating and messing about: there is a new
STLINKv2 transport called stlink_usb.c which is selected by
"select transport dapdirect_jtag"

i'm adding a new .cfg file, it's passed "voltage" check (finding 3.2) however
fails with an unknown error 0x5 on calling stlink_usb_mode_enter
