Bug ID: 386
Summary: Evaluate Vallium instead of Kazan
Product: Libre-SOC's first SoC
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: ---
Component: Source Code
Assignee: lkcl at lkcl.net
Reporter: cand at gmx.com
CC: libre-soc-bugs at lists.libre-soc.org
NLnet milestone: ---
http://lists.libre-riscv.org/pipermail/libre-riscv-dev/2020-June/008007.html
Phoronix recently reported that the Vallium cpu implementation of
vulkan was already able to render Talos Principle. If work on it keeps
on at that pace, by Oct when Jacob is free again it will be much
further ahead.
Given this, it would make sense to consider moving to it over Kazan, or
at least checking the possibility.
