Hi All,
Apologies for the delays in confirming the FOSDEM schedule.
I've starting working on it today. For the other organisers of our
devroom, go to the Schedule tab and Editor. Select the Hidden room k4201
(that's the one we were given on the devroom-managers list, not
officially final yet), and you'll see the temporary schedule I've setup.
To allow a talk to be added to schedule, I had to set them as accepted,
but no confirmation emails have been sent yet, that will happen tomorrow
probably (*15th is the hard deadline*).
I haven't included my talk "Introduction to SimpleV and PowerISA+SVP64"
in the schedule, due to Luke saying in the review that it already
overlaps with previous talks:
https://libre-soc.org/conferences/fosdem2021/
as well as the talk James is planned to cover on Heterogeneous ISA.
Instead of having a dedicated talk, I could work with James to make sure
we point to those previous FOSDEM talks in either of James' talks.
There is a 20min timeslot remaining. I haven't added breaks (which we
could do, although I already interspersed smaller talks in between to
give presenters such as Sadoon a break).
We've received a notification from Seth Hillbrand suggesting that a talk
on his track might be a better fit with us:
"FOSS CAD/EDA tools supporting the open access PDK initiative"
https://pretalx.fosdem.org/orga/event/fosdem-2024/submissions/NKUCXV/
The proposed talk duration is 25min, so we can trim 5 min of another
talk and will be able to fit this additional talk in.
I suggest reducing the biginteger talk from 30min to 25min to allow for
this, as well as trimming Sadoon's crypto talk from 30min to 25min, to
allow for an extra 5min in either of James' talks which I could use to
link to previous LibreSOC talks, and give the general focus of the
project (Libre designed SoC, Simple-V vectorisation).
Thanks,
Andrey
