that expanding heavily compressed CPU-intensive protocols
into raw framebuffer data resulting in at least three to FOUR
orders magnitude increase in data transfer requirements even
on small devices is the fault of X11?

Citrix, microsoft, DisplayLink, apple and many (modern)
USB-to-HDMI devices solve this by sending the *compressed*
(MPEG) data and unpacking it locally.

your expectations here are so far out that i know even the
fastest modern desktop system let alone an ARM SoC would
be completely unable to cope (tried once, never doing it
again).
