yes... the more unit tests are there, the better. however...

ah definitely not "test data".  we have a rule that "anything that's
auto-generated must not be added to the git repos without a seriously
good reason" (Jean-Paul came up with one) - i should also add "and
test data" to that as well.

can that be downloaded via an automated script from a well-known
location?  or, is it part of *another* repository that can be
specified automatically?

hmmmm... i don't know.  i'm wary of having multi-megabyte
non-source-code files on the server, and multi-gigabyte files are
definitely out: the server only has a 25 GB allocation (cost: GBP
8/month not 30, not 300)

the answer will depend on whether, going forward, there exists *other*
(external) repositories or well-known locations that contain the test
data.
