by simply cutting out one of the comparisons all 64 of the mid-core stages have
been cut in half, the VST file size is 250k for each QTY 64 core_NNN which has
saved another 50,000 cells (which is i think somewhere around 250,000 gates).

with the trial_compare_rhs being three times larger than the 64 bit numbers
it is working from this is why the number of gates is so massive.

we seriously need to rethink this.
