last week just before another heart attack and
ischemic stroke I was out with friends at a
restaurant. someone asked me to guess the age
of their nephew: this is a skill I have always had,
normally correctly guessing within 2-3 years.
this time I found I was unable to guess correctly:
it was too painful, it induced a headache. I was 20
years out.
that has never happened before, and once again it
is indicative of neurological damage to the area
of the brain involving tabular conversion of
concepts (in this case, "greater than or less than")
into a number (in this case, "an age")
the other examples of neurological damage involve
tabular lookup conversions to spoken numbers
as well: times tables, power-of-two tables,
binary to hexadecimal conversions.
as a Computer Scientist this is highly significant
as even without the prohibition by the India Govt
on "employment" under Medical Visa conditions
*I still would not be able to work* as it causes a
debilitating painful headache to perform the basics
of my job.
I will have a report from the Cardiac MRI soon:
the number of scans carried out was 110 separate
scans. I went through them last night and it is
quite obvious even to me, looking at Radiopedua,
that my heart is nothing like a standard normal
healthy heart.
there are multiple serious anomalies, not just one,
and they are all chronic - meaning that this has
been a life-long serious risk of death, from heart
failure.
