Hello folks,
we have a conflict of interests at task 980. Your attention is needed.
Considering the time constraints, the sooner the task gets your attention
the better.
https://bugs.libre-soc.org/show_bug.cgi?id=980#c74
I already told my opinion on some of restrictions we have, and I certainly
would like this topic to be resolved in a graceful manner. I develop in my
free time. This time, I had to sacrifice several days on Christmas, to make
the code work. The last thing I would like to waste my time on are such
debates.
As a developer, I should have a liberty to interactively rebase, fixup,
squash commits, commit when I can and want, and same for push. If there are
restrictions on this from NLnet side, these must be explicitly published on
their own guidelines. I'm sure they have different forms than the ones
exposed.
Please take a look at the discussion and consider this:
1. The work is done by individuals.
2. In my particular case, this is done in a free time, which makes it
especially a limited resource.
3. Considering the real amount of work and time constraints, this is an
already sufficiently hard task to handle.
4. It's not even the task I initially volunteered to take. I expressed that
it's complex and we must be flexible to complete it.
I don't want any conflicts around this task. I already lost all my nerves
in other similar debates. Folks, I ask you, please, let's address it as
soon as we can.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Dmitry
