yesterday i concluded basically that LoadStore1 is unfinished, and that it is going to be difficult to sort out what the heck is going on.

there are something like five moving parts and around ten interfaces, and four separate FSMs.

the most sensible thing would be to once again write out the FSMs and interfaces on large pieces of paper and check how they fit together.
