tobias i've just committed a (partially completed) unit test showing
how to activate the FetchUnitInterface on icache.py (call a function
icache.use_fetch_interface()) which i added yesterday and completed
today.

if you are in the middle of those ifetch unit tests and prefer not to
context-switch i will finish it off, let's see how it goes.
