great! that looks like a successful join of the #libre-soc IRC channel.
normally, one would leave the IRC client running in order for people
to notice, and respond, and say hello (hold a conversation).

this is why i said that you should leave the IRC client running 24x7,
or use "bnc4you" or other IRC proxy.

if you log on, ask a question, then leave immediately, how can you receive
the answer?  it is like going into a room where people are having
conversations, making an announcement, then walking out without waiting
for anyone to turn around :)

IRC conversations can often take 36 hours round-trip because people are
in different timezones.

you need to adjust expectations accordingly.
