*nod*, that's the case for copying it out, by myself or by whoever
wishes to use it, and a note in case it would make sense for me to
replace it with a symlink.

I agree that would be undesirable. I don't mean to keep things from
being copied elsewhere and referenced there.
My point of placing stuff I've worked in the sandbox was to live up to
the transparency of the project WRT such stuff as notes and drafts, but
also patches, installed or dropped: things that I normally keep in
private filesystems for future reference.
I'm not used to others' changing my private filesystems from under me; I
expect to find such stuff where I put it, and I occasionally refer to
such items very very long after they were first put them.
I hope that won't be a problem, and I can count on that stability within
that personal sandbox. Otherwise, if I can't rely on this git repo for
keeping my personal records the way I keep them, I'll keep it elsewhere.
It's not a problem either way, I just don't wish to be surprised by
*this* stuff's disappearing or moving. It's an extension of my memory,
and I don't want anyone else messing with my memory ;-)
