Bug ID: 739
Summary: NGI POINTER Gigabit Router Pinout Considerations
Product: Libre-SOC's second ASIC
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: High
Component: Milestones
Assignee: andrey at technepisteme.xyz
Reporter: andrey at technepisteme.xyz
CC: libre-soc-bugs at lists.libre-soc.org, lkcl at lkcl.net
Blocks: 589, 690
NLnet milestone: NGI POINTER Gigabit ASIC
Bug for discussing/clarifying the pinout for the the NGI POINTER Gigabit Router
ASIC.
Continued from the email thread:
http://lists.libre-soc.org/pipermail/libre-soc-dev/2021-November/004061.html
See the wiki page for the current pin count:
https://libre-soc.org/crypto_router_pinmux/
Due to time constraints, *no pin multiplexing* will be implemented.
Current tasks for me (andrey) are:
-check the pinmux definitions for the different interfaces
-create a new class for the router asic
-confirm that generated results are what we expect
-adjust the pinout as needed (depending on constraints)
The existing code should be sufficient to generate the pinout and the files for
other parts of the design flow.
Feel free to correct me if what I'm mentioned is not quite right.
