I cleaned up the grev implementation a bunch and added docs, unit tests, and
formal proofs.

Too bad Python 3.7 doesn't have Rust's `windows` iterator, it'd be really
useful here. I added `pairwise` cuz we're not running Python 3.10 yet...I want
it anyway!
