jacob given the massive confusion in alexandre's mind can i recommend
*not* discussing alternative speculative Compressed encoding schemes
until it is absolutely clear for alexandre, and he's managed to implement
the objdump analyser?

bringing in alternative designs at this point when we do not yet know
if he fully understands the current one will result in taking up time.

if he fully understood the alternative speculative encoding already
then it would be a useful comparative data-point.

however the only person who fully understands that alternative speculative
encoding right now is you.

consequently you first have to document it (fully) and then explain it to
everybody, make sure that everybody fully understands it...

... *and then* use it as a comparative data point to help alexandre understand
the v1 proposal.
