I did. I just thought I was missing it because I kept getting an error (see
below).

This was the key (although with some trickiness, see below).

No, I was fully up to date. Would not post here without first pulling the
latest commits and reviewing the change log.

I do.

I did all of that actually. I just went and read through the file you showed
the patch for in comment #23, and with manual review I saw that patching the
source and reinstalling hadn't installed the patched version but the old one.
Actually even patching the files in the coriolis install dir did nothing.
Finally, manually changing the two 'raise ErrorMessage' to 'print (
WarningMessage...' worked, running cougar now.
